Rainbow Beach Trail Festival

28th July 2024
Rainbow Beach

This is undoubtedly Qld's most beautiful trail-running event, with spectacular trails taking you through one of the marvels of nature - the towering sand cliffs of the Cooloola Coast. Formed over thousands of years, the coloured sands rise over the expansive blue Coral Sea.  Runners will experience lush forests, perched lakes, rising sand dunes and the historic lighthouse while running single track, fire roads and beaches. This is the perfect event for a weekend getaway.

Interesting fact: The Aboriginal people have a dream-time story about how the Coloured Sands were formed along the Cooloola Coast.

Run Queensland is committed to preserving the environment in which we are privileged to stage our events.
With this in mind, we no longer provide disposable cups at checkpoints.

As such, participants will need to carry their own cup for drinks they don’t want to put in their hydration pack or water bottle (electrolyte).

Our ‘no cup’ initiative has been a huge success since implementation in 2015 with the combined waste from checkpoints being greatly reduced.

There are no drop bags at this event.
