Run Queensland is thrilled to bring you our very own “miler”, the Mary Valley Ultra.
Starting in the charming Sunshine Coast hinterland township of Imbil, race distances include
100 miles, 112 km, 50 km, 21 km and 10 km.
Runners will enjoy stunning lookouts, babbling creeks, and challenging hilly terrain through the Imbil State Forest.
Part of the 100 mile and 112 km course is in the beautiful Conondale National Park, where runners will ascend to the top of Mt Allan before heading back to the finish line at the Imbil Showgrounds.

ENTRY DETAILS
The Mary Valley Ultra will be held on 11th & 12th June 2027. All races start and finish at the Imbil Showgrounds 16 Edward St, Imbil Queensland. There are 5 distances to choose from, 100mile, 112km, 50km, 21km and 10km.

PLEASE NOTE:
Taking on the Mary Valley Ultra - 100 mile is a significant endurance challenge. The course requires competitors to be physically prepared, experienced in long-distance events and capable of managing themselves over an extended period of time. For the safety of all participants, entrants in the Mary Valley Ultra - 100 mile must demonstrate previous endurance running experience by meeting certain qualification requirements.

REFUNDS & TRANSERS

Refunds up to 19th April 2027 will be subject to 15% admin charge.

Refunds limited to 50% of entry fee beyond 19th April 2027.

Refunds will not be permissible beyond 13th May 2027.

​To transfer your entry to another person, you must send an email to brett@runqueensland.com with the details of the person you want to transfer to. (Name and email) . To protect all parties please wait for confirmation email from Run Queensland before making any payments.

Once confirmed, the new entrant is to make the agreed payment amount to the withdrawing runner.

When the withdrawing runner confirms payment an entry link will be sent to the new entrant.

A fee of $50 will apply to all transfers (payable by the new entrant on checkout).

Transfers permissible until 30th May.

There are NO transfers to other events.

Event shirt
Everyone who enters the Mary Valley Ultra events (100 mile, 112km, 50km, 21km and 10km) will receive a special edition t-shirt.
When you enter the event, you will be asked to specify your shirt size. Please use this chart to determine your size.
Be sure to specify your correct size during race entry as there will be limited opportunity to make size changes or exchanges. If you enter after 12th April, we can’t guarantee you will receive your specified size, as shirts are pre-ordered.
The fly tee is designed to be flowy. If you prefer a snug fit, size down 1 from your typical size.
Measure around the fullest part of your chest.
Between sizes? For a tighter fit, choose the smaller size.

Cup (There are NO cups at checkpoints. Run Queensland have a ‘no cups’ policy and should you require to use one at a checkpoint, you will need to bring your own.)

DROP BAGS
Drop bags can be useful for extra food, gels, body lubricant, spare socks, clothing, batteries and spare headlamp etc.
There is a drop bag service for runners without a support crew. Runners may use a mixture of support crew at some checkpoints and the drop bag service at other checkpoints.
Drop bags must be closable and SOFT (Woolworths/Coles type cool bag is strongly recommended). Plastic bags/garbage bags and hard plastic boxes will not be accepted. Checkpoint drop bags must be less than 15 litres in volume and less than 2kg in weight. No glass containers to be put in drop bags.
All drop bags must be clearly marked with surname, race number and checkpoint number. Write on the drop bag with a permanent marker pen, no paper labels.
When you get to the checkpoint the CP staff will hand you your drop bag. Support crew or spectators cannot collect it for you.
Drop bags will be returned to the designated drop bag area at the Imbil showgrounds (Start/Finish) asap. It is the responsibility of runners to collect their drop bags. Any drop bags not collected by 2pm Sunday will be disposed of.
​100mile & 110km
Checkpoint drop bags must be delivered to the designated drop bag area at sign-on on the Thursday evening between 3pm and 7pm or before 5.30am Friday morning. It is the responsibility of the runner to ensure drop bags are placed into the correct area for the checkpoint.

The miler starts at the Imbil Showgrounds. It is a combination of the 112km and the 50km course.
The first loop is the 112km, bringing you back to the start area at the Imbil Showgrounds, then you head out for your second loop on the 50km course.

Elevation Gain 4900m.
Cutoff 28hours.
The 112km starts at the Imbil Showgrounds. It is the same course as the first loop of the Miler. It will start at the same time as the Miler.

Elevation Gain 1832m.
Cutoff 14 hours
The Mary Valley Ultra 50km starts at the Imbil Showgrounds. This is the same course as the 2nd loop of the MVU miler. This race will start on Saturday morning.

The 21km starts and finishes at the Imbil Showgrounds.

SUPPORT CREW & SPECTATORS
Spectators are most welcome at the start/finish area. Please respect the local residents and do not park across driveways.

The event is staged from the Imbil Showgrounds. This is the start & finish for all races.

Support crew can see their runner at the designated checkpoints. Please take the time to read the support crew rules.
50km, 21km & 10km
No support crew or spectators are allowed on the course for these events. Support crews are allowed at the Start/Finish area only. You will be able to cheer them on from here.
Your runner could be disqualified if you do not adhere to these rules.​
