Glass House Mountains
Celebrate National Italian Day and embrace your inner Gladiator. Run Queensland and Fresca Café have collaborated to bring you an authentic Italian experience on beautiful trail with distances for new and experienced trail runners. Test your strength tackling Goliath (Wild Horse Mountain) and see if you know your Roman numerals. Come dressed as an inspired Gladiator and get the opportunity to lead the peasants through the Colosseum and out onto the trail. There will be prizes for the best dressed and running club games of strength. Afterwards enjoy some yummy Italian coffee and treats.
The Gladiator is the second event in the Run Qld Day-Night Series. Complete all four events to automatically qualify for the series.
Interesting fact: The Aboriginal people tell a story of the Glass House Mountains of which Tibrogargan is the father, Beerwah the pregnant mother and Coonowrin the son who betrayed his parents.

All checkpoints will have water, electrolyte, and some snacks but will have no cups.
Run Queensland are committed to preserving the environment in which we are privileged to stage our events.
With this in mind, we no longer provide disposable cups at checkpoints.
As such, participants will need to carry their own cup for drinks they don’t want to put in their hydration pack or water bottle (coke, electrolyte).
Our ‘no cup’ initiative has been a huge success since implementation in 2015 with the combined waste from checkpoints being greatly reduced.
